Have had a problem from day one and the dealer we purchased from is very condescending and refuses to admit there is a problem and told me I cleaned the stove too thoroughly and not to do recommended cleaning stated in manuel. He also charged us for a service call. We hadn't had the stove for a whole season. Just did research and it points to stove not cleaned thoroughly!!

Purchased a Harmon Oakleaf 6 years ago. The tiny clips that hold in place the side fire brick burn out and fail. The only place replacements can be bought is thru Harmon. This clip should not cost more than $10 and likely is made incorrectly. Any metal inside a firebox should be heat treated to prevent this failure. Haron is IMPOSSIBLE to communicate with. Your only option is to buy their criminally expensive clips for $77. If they cared about customer safety they would price them fairly or even provide them free until they can produce clips that do not deteriorate.

Stove cleaning

This stove has performed flawlessly since April 2019. The settings seem to be just for mental stimulation because they seem to change very little how the stove performs or pellet consumption , some change but not much. That doesnt make a difference in how the stove performs. My issue with the stove is at monthly cleaning time. It almost seems like the stove was either designed to be difficult to clean or no thought at all went into the cleaning process. Every inch of this stove is difficult to see & even more difficult to reach or access for cleaning. There is welding spatter all over the inside so using any type of scraper is mostly no help. The cleaning tool supplied with the stove is very cool looking & totally useless. I do a complete stove cleaning every month , inside & out & its amazing how much better the stove heats with this cleaning. It would have been nice had some thought gone into the cleaning process as well as the performance. Maybe in future stoves , Im stuck cleaning this one.

User's recommendation: I’m happy with the stove performance as I’m sure future customers will be. For me , I’ll just have to tough out the cleaning , maybe newer stoves will see some modifications to make cleaning much less difficult.

Problem with baked door gasket

After running my brand new absolute 43 for a day, the door gasket got stuck so badly to the stove, the i had a very difficult time opening the door. When it finally opened, left a mark on the stove, and the gasket hardened, and loosened up. Very disappointed, that after $5700 spending on this stove I already have to worry about this.

Auger making a banging noise

Called to ask questions to customers service. To do DIY fix, I live in the mountains closest dealer is hour and a half away won't answer questions over phone said has to come to home to troubleshoot and has a trip charge plus mimum charge. Exhaust fan motor sounds like a train over tracks and fan blades behind ash bucket has set screw that won't budge afraid if snaps won't be able to replace fan motor

After spending almost $15K for purchase and install I have had nothing but issues. I have cared for the stove as per instruction. The stove is malfunctioning constantly - the install company is out at my house multiple times a month. Total waste of my funds and they will not let me return

Bought the stove, wouldnt burn said our chimney was the cause, had a new chimney installed, then our wood wasn't right, had good 2 ye seasoned wood, still wouldn't burn, have tried for 5 yrs to get resolve, customer service is nonexistent. Burnt wood for 50 yrs never had this kind of trouble with ANY other brand. Do not buydo not purchase

Fuse keeps blowing

Combustion Blower Very Noisy

I have had the Harman Accentra free standing pellet stove for over 14 years. It has been very reliable and worked well. After 12 years, the combustion blower motor started squealing and was replaced. The replacement motor had been redesigned but worked o.k. for a month or so. It became so noisy, it had to be replaced again. This one also was quiet for a while and then became very noisy also. Makes a rattling/growling type noise. Very annoying in your living room. Dealer said Harmon is aware of the problem but has made no indication that they are going to do anything about it. Dealer has ordered another one, but they are on back-order. If this doesn't resolve the noise, I am afraid I must go to a different type of heat source. I am very disappointed because I always thought Harmon was the top-of-the-line stove and always promoted them.

I also am having issues with my 2022 52i insert. Combustion motor is causing a vibration which shakes the interior fluted heating plates at certain rpm’s

Just today,3rd combustion motor replaced. Cant afford to keep doing this. Its not like this stove runs 24/7,we use the stove for 3-4 months a year.can not use the stove at night when going to bed,you cant fall asleep with all the noise combustion motor makes.we were going to purchase the newest stove with the digital top but not going to pour $5000 for stove thats noisey. Just shelled out $288 to replace motor.dont mind paying the labor but to eat the cost of a motor every 2 years,or in reality 12 months(dont use it spring,summer or fall really not acceptable. Pellet stove help

My pellet stove stopped working in end of the May 2021, contacted company that I purchased stove from. Waited 2 months to get first parts in, stove was not fixed properly. The company ordered new parts after waiting approximately one month, they replaced parts that did not fix the stove. Six months latter, the stove is still not working properly.
